Initial data:
Website: video converter site
Daily website traffic: 330k
Ad type: tabunder
Tabunder impressions: 190k

With one well-known ad network (before AdSpyglass):
Paid daily traffic: 46k
CPM: $1.2
Daily Income: $55

With AdSpyglass:
Paid daily traffic: 121k
CPM: $0.83
Daily Income: $101

Before using Adspyglass this publisher was working by flat rate with one single ad network
CPM = $1.2 for all countries it's very high CPM for such kind of popunder traffic but CPM doesn’t buy groceries, you need cash!

Have a look at screenshot below, as we can see daily income has been raised from ~$55/day to $100+/day.

Here is detailed statistic for the traffic with breakdown by date. Have a look at 'Ad network impressions' Propeller counted ~50k/day, but the real traffic was 121k/day.
With AdSpyglass publishers CPM went down to $0.83, but  +60% more traffic was counted and his income has been raised from $55 to $100.
It's taken couple of days to make all settings (sometimes it may take up to one week) but even these 'tunning days' his income was bigger than with this ad network.

Why has it happened?
All ad networks fight for the CPMs. Because it's the only metric they can use for engaging publishers.

CPM = (Income / hits) * 1000

There are 2 possible ways to increase CPM:

  1. Increase income - the best way for publisher is to find good paying advertisers for whole traffic. But it's very hard to make it real. (the way of AdSpyglass)

  2. Decrease hits - it's the most favourite trick of all ad networks. That's why they offer you juicy fix/flat rates. If you don't have alternative statistic you will never know your real rate! As we could see in this case the real CPM was not $1.2, it was just ($55 / 120k hits) * 1000 = $0.45

Don't allow to confuse you! All flat rates are fake and you will earn much MONEY (not CPM) with multiple ad networks and real CPM and real traffic.
